Employee Engagement & Motivation
Description
Beyond Rules of Engagement
How Can Organizational Leaders Build a Culture that Supports High Engagement?
Engagement is an unusual word. The dictionary suggests that the word is synonymous with commitment. But, in everyday language, it is most often associated with marriage proposals.
Considering that statistics show more than half of all marriages end tragically in divorce, the work engagement is perhaps not necessarily the best way to describe workplace commitment.
- What is employee engagement, and why should Leader’s care about it?
- What is a Leader’s role in supporting the engagement strategy?
- What does research tell us about employee engagement?
- How do organizations encourage engagement?
- How can an organization move beyond engaging individual employees to creating a socially cohesive corporate culture in which people are fully engaged?
- What impact does an individual’s ability to manage stress and worry (Emotional Intelligence) have to do with engagement?
In this session John Zettler, Director People Strategy & Development, of Dale Carnegie Business Group will answer these questions.
John brings with him extensive experience on Employee Engagement and Emotional Intelligence and has spent over 5 years as Director, Human Resources within two major Canadian Law Firms where he was responsible for the Engagement strategy.
