As Cogeco Data Services and Peer 1 Hosting, Director of Architecture and Engineering, Craig Tavares manages a global team of Professional Engineers, Developers and IT Architects. He is responsible for all core technologies, research and development, technology roadmap and new product innovation.
During his tenure at Cogeco Data Services, Craig has helped to successfully transition the company from a regional network provider to a global leader in the information, communications, hosting and technology sector, growing the company from a $18M organization to revenues exceeding $300M+. His contributions include the successful integration of 2 corporate acquisitions, strategic direction and execution of IP/MPLS and Cloud services, geographic expansion of data centres and launch of Canada’s first geo redundant dual hypervisor (VMware and Microsoft) cloud.
Craig is currently working on leading the technology strategy for the recently announced merger of Cogeco Data Services with Peer 1 Hosting, a global leader of Internet and Cloud services. He has over 10 years of experience in the industry with many IT certifications and a background in Computer Systems Engineering. Craig is also a member of the Program Advisory Committee for Engineering Technology at George Brown College and hosts industry insight seminars for students attending post graduate studies in related fields. Craig enjoys spending time with his family and is a passionate golfer.
Steve Golden, Regional Vice President, Ipro
Steve Golden joined Ipro in 2014. Golden’s focus as a Regional Vice President is to educate both, Service Providers and Law Firms, on better workflows that make financial and strategic sense for all parties. Steve has been in litigation support industry since 1992 and has a vast experience in all size cases and discovery strategies. Steve most recently was the Director of Sales for a review and collection software company before joining Ipro. Steve has held positions of responsibility on both the sales and operational perspectives of document review services.
