Defining what Leadership looks like using Competencies
Description
Part II - Part I was held on April 28, 2014.
If you missed the session in April 2014, that’s ok!!
This is all new information and is not connected to the first session.
In this session HR Leaders will be provided with the principles and a sample approach to defining what good leadership looks like as recognized by their firm. In building this capability they will help their senior leaders to get on the same page in identifying “what they expect” and be able to talk about it with staff within performance feedback and personal development discussions. Additionally, it will support talent review and succession planning discussions to create proactive plans.
- What are the leadership levels starting from individual contributor upward, and what does it take to lead at those levels?
- Link in the firm’s core values and strategic plans to ensure that leadership behaviour described will enable them.
- Examine some sample leadership models from which to draw ideas for defining leadership expectations.
- Identify approaches to launching a competency framework with communication plan ideas and suggestions on how to integrate it into other HR processes, such as training and succession plans.
