Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join our office located in East Toronto. The successful candidate will be integral to the operation of the real estate aspect of the practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage residential and/or commercial purchase, sale and mortgage files inclusive of conducting title and off title searches as required, preparation of closing documents and working with clients to finalize the transactions
- Prepare and/or register title documents
- Work with title insurers to obtain title insurance
- Maintain files from beginning to end
- Assist with other documents i.e shareholder’s agreements, asset purchase or sale agreements, leases, etc…
- Assist in time sensitive matters
- Work on various matters concurrently
- Assist with client communications, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Collaborate with the solicitor and/or team on various projects, providing administrative support as needed

Education
- Law Clerk diploma preferable
- Minimum of 5 years of real estate law experience
- Knowledge of general law office software programs including Teraview, Unity/Conveyancer, Microsoft Office, PC Law and other industry specific software programs
