AODA Multi-year Plans – Will you be ready?
Description
So where do you stand now with the AODA?
Assuming your company (yes even if you are a one person law firm) is now in compliance with the Customer Service Standard of the AODA, the harder part of the AODA will now be creating a multi-year plan.
The Employment Standards now requires all employers to provide an accessible environment across all stages of the employment cycle from recruit to talent management (and absence management). Learning more about the Human Rights Code for Ontario will be critical for all of the key players in your workplace around the accommodation for disabilities.
The areas of expertise which will help move law firms forward are ergonomic/human factors design and disability management/accommodation. The time to move on this is now as timelines are short for compliance. Jane Sleeth from Optimal Performance will guide us through the next phase of this process.
