Douglas Han is a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP in Toronto and is part of the firm's Commodity Tax Group. Douglas has extensive experience in advising clients on GST, PST and Excise Tax issues related to transactions, cross-border issues, tax planning and disputes with taxing authorities. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Douglas practised tax law in Toronto specializing in commodity tax for a national law firm.
This session will review common GST questions that law firms encounter on a regular basis. The session will include treatment of GST on fees as well as on disbursements.
