Legal Assistant/Law Clerk
Entertainment & Media Law | Downtown Toronto
Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Downtown Toronto – 4 days in office

About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant / Law Clerk with some experience in corporate law to support a busy law firm focused on entertainment, media and creative-industry clients.
This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, is comfortable managing competing priorities, and is organized and efficient.
Experience in entertainment, media or production is an asset but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate routine corporate matters, including incorporations, annual filings, minute books and corporate records.
- Coordinate client onboarding, conflict checks, retainers, engagement letters and new matter openings.
- Track outstanding documents, signatures, instructions, deadlines and follow-ups.
- Maintain organized files, tracking lists, checklists and systems to ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
- Conduct regular reviews of outstanding matters and proactively follow up on items requiring attention.
- Manage calendars, meetings, appointments, business lunches, travel, catering and scheduling logistics.
- Coordinate conferences, festivals, industry events and related travel arrangements.
- Manage expenses, receipts, credit-card documentation and reimbursements.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and executive support, including office logistics, couriers and supplies.
Qualifications
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent legal assistant/law clerk experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in a corporate law clerk or legal assistant role.
- Experience with Ontario and/or federal corporate filings.
- Familiarity with minute books and corporate records.
- Excellent organizational, communication and file management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
