Intermediate Accounting Clerk
Lofranco Corriero is a very well established Litigation firm specializing in Personal Injury law and is seeking to add an Accounting Clerk to their team. The ideal candidates must have completed a degree in Accounting and must have a minimum of 1-2 years of Accounting experience.
Primary Duties Include:
- Processing of clients’ accounts
- Match third party cheques to disbursements
- Performing bank reconciliations in both PC Law and Soluno
- Cheque requisitions; signed and distributed; issuing cheques
- Work with AP/AR, billings and banking
- Post all deposits; issue refunds for overpayments, create invoices and post
- Pay and post disbursements in PC Law/Soluno
- Assist with preparation of monthly management reporting
- Assist with preparation of working papers files for external account
Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of Accounting experience preferably in a law firm
- Post-secondary education in accounting
- Enrollment in CPA program would be an asset
- Working knowledge of PC Law or Soluno would be an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
- Flexibility to work overtime when necessary
