Family Law Clerk

We are a hybrid firm with a 4 days in office and one day remote model.
What you’ll be doing:
Litigation & Drafting
- Draft complex family law pleadings, affidavits, disclosure briefs, and financial statements with minimal revision
- Prepare affidavits of documents and manage ongoing disclosure
- Assist with trial preparation and court materials
- Ensure compliance with Family Law Rules and filing deadlines
File & Court Management
- Independently manage client files from opening to closing
- Prepare and organize materials for court filings and appearances
- Liaise with courts, opposing counsel, and clients
Lawyer & Practice Support
- Support at least two lawyers in a high-volume litigation practice
- Maintain calendars, schedule deadlines, and assist lawyers in preparing for court
- General clerking and administrative support as required
What we’re looking for:
- Law Clerk Diploma
- 5+ years of Ontario family law experience
- Strong drafting skills and experience managing litigation files
- Solid working knowledge of the Family Law Rules and Rules of Civil Procedure
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Professional, confident communicator and collaborative team member
Technical skills
- Strong Word skills required
- Experience with family law and practice management software (e.g., Divorcemate, PC Law, Soluno, Worldox, Caselines, Adobe) is an asset; training provided where needed
What we offer:
- Competitive salary, based on experience - 70k-90k
