Reporting to the Manager, EHG Practice Support, the Equity Management Platform Specialist plays a pivotal role in the setup, reconciliation, and ongoing maintenance of client equity data across equity management platforms such as Carta, Mantle and Pulley. The Equity Management Platform Specialist will work closely with clients and legal and administrative team members across the firm’s EHG national offices to deliver exceptional service and support.

Major Responsibilities
- Managing the migration of client equity data (shares, options, convertible securities) from client minute books to equity management platforms, including reviewing and extracting relevant information from corporate records and inputting information in the appropriate format
- Coordinating the onboarding process for clients, including liaising between the client, legal teams and platform support
- Establishing expertise as a super-user of the various equity management platforms and working with the platform support teams to develop processes that comply with Osler standards (e.g. Canadian stock option requirements; Canadian tax requirements)
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding equity management matters, providing guidance and support on platform usage, data entry, and reporting
- Reconciling and resolving discrepancies between minute book records and data stored on equity platforms, including working with complex capitalization tables, lengthy minute books, and datasets consisting of multiple financing rounds
- Collaborating with lawyers in the Emerging High Growth Companies Group to reconcile deficiencies in client equity data, including conducting audits to ensure integrity and accuracy of data sets
- Updating and maintaining client platform accounts to reflect changes in equity data such as (i) share issuances, exchanges and transfers in connection with primary and secondary financing rounds, and (ii) stock option administration including option issuances, option exercises, and amendments to equity incentive plans
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
This position requires a college Law Clerk diploma and/or a university degree with an interest in the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Canadian corporate law and at least one year of work experience reviewing, updating and maintaining minute books for corporations, with an emphasis on equity management. Experience in a professional services environment is an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.

Compensation:
The range of expected compensation for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
