Litigation Law Clerk (Hybrid Office/Remote)

We are looking for an outstanding law clerk to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Law clerks at Kastner Ko LLP are given a high degree of responsibility. Duties include:
- Drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and policies;
- Liaising with clients by phone and email through all stages of a matter;
- Coordinating the issuance, service, and filing of court and tribunal documents;
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring timely submission of materials to courts and tribunals;
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as billing support, document management, and internal file tracking;
- Understanding and applying the Rules of Civil Procedure and relevant practice directions, and the rules of administrative tribunals; and
- Various administrative duties, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least two years of experience as a Litigation Law Clerk or Legal Assistant.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
- Client-service oriented, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful, with strong analytical ability.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Proficiency with legal document formatting.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience along with a comprehensive benefits plan including health, dental, and short- and long-term disability insurance.
The starting salary range for this position is negotiable and depends on experience. The usual range is between $61,500 and $91,500. Staff are eligible for annual salary increases and bonuses.
Our office is located close to transit hubs, including GO Transit, the TTC, and Bike Share.
