PCLaw Bookkeeper
Duties and Responsibilities:
The bookkeeper is responsible for the complete bookkeeping function for the office. The position involves day to day management of general and client trust accounts The bookkeeper’s duties include billings procedures; reporting and reconciling procedures; GST/HST calculations; processing of real estate, estate, and litigation matters and compliance with Law Society regulations. Duties may include reception and telephone relief as well as other senior secretarial functions as required.
Qualifications:
Applicant must have a minimum ten years experience in a law firm in Ontario, working independently. Qualifications include a minimum of grade 12 education with computer literacy skills as well as word processing skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in estate administration, bookkeeping and accounting for estate, real estate and trusts. Thorough knowledge and experience using PCLaw computer software is essential. Experience in Billings, Accounts Payable/Receivable. Some proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to ensure the firm’s policies and control procedures are met. Good written and communications skills.

Starting Salary: $68,525 per year
