Data Entry Clerk (12-Month Contract)
Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes), one of Canada’s largest and most successful law firms, has an immediate opening for a Data Entry Clerk to join the Records Management Department in the Toronto office. This position is a 12-month contract.
Reporting to the Manager, Information Governance & Records, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing incoming information, sorting, and barcoding material for integration into systems or storage areas. Please note that this position requires lifting up to 25 pounds. It also requires attendance in the Toronto office five days a week.
Primary responsibilities of the Data Entry Clerk include, but are not limited to:
- Processing documents for imaging
- Data entry, indexing and barcoding
- Reviewing and analyzing documents and entering descriptive and other metadata into FileTrail
- Keeping the records area clean and neat
- Treating such internal clients and other co-workers with dignity, respect and fairness
- Identifying and correcting data entry errors
- Keeping boxes organized
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong computer skills required
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
- Strong professionalism and service-oriented attitude
- Must be flexible, self-motivated, capable of delivering within specified deadlines and focused on the end result
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
