After working with literally hundreds of clients and being immersed in virtually every type of family law issue, the lawyers of the Halpern Law Group have a library of knowledge that will guide their thinking about what’s possible, what’s practical and what makes sense. Our focus is dedicated to, and exclusively on, family law.
Working with Halpern Law Group means working within a collegial atmosphere, with responsibilities that engage critical thought.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Scheduling meetings and appointments;
- updating and maintaining calendars;
- setting up Zoom meetings;
- running conflict checks on prospective clients through Cosmolex;
- facilitating the intake of new clients;
- drafting letters for opposing counsel;
- revising documents based on notations provided by clients and/or lawyers;
- researching and getting quotes for experts that may be needed for court;
- preparing material through DocuSign;
- aiding with preparing files for transfer to new counsels;
- send faxes;
- proof-reading letters;
- internal filing court and client documents;
- printing;
- providing weekly updates on the status of new client’s in the intake process as they engage us;
- arranging couriers;
- taking care of plants in the office;
- maintaining the organization of the office kitchen;
- Digitizing notes and other paper ephemera;
- updating client records in Cosmolex, and;
- updating Advising the Family-Owned Business with monthly amendments.
