Estates Clerk (Toronto)
Job Summary:
Bales Beall LLP is seeking an estates clerk with at least 1 year of experience in the area of estates. The role involves support for estate litigation and estate administration matters. The successful candidate will work closely with our legal team and clients. We will consider a candidate who has experience in only one of estates litigation or estates administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare simple court documents, including confirmation forms;
- Compile application records in pdf format;
- Serve and file court documents (using caselines);
- Assist with the preparation and filing of applications for certificates of appointments;
- Provide some limited general administrative support to lawyers, including correspondence and document management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent training from an accredited institution
- 1+ years of experience in an estates practice
- Strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
