We are currently recruiting for a Junior Desktop Support person to join our team. Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology, you will be responsible to provide support for information technology and telecommunications primarily in the Toronto office and supporting the Burlington office. You will assist by coordinating and providing systems availability and services, software/hardware problem resolution and user training and support. You will also assist the Senior LAN Administrator in performance monitoring, documentation of network operations, problem solving, new setups, and Audio Visual setups. You will analyze and resolve problems by working closely with the Information Technology Director and the entire IT team.
Candidates interested in pursuing this opportunity will enjoy working in a highly technical and paperless environment. Day-to-day administrative responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure IT systems are functional daily and support users by resolving system problems quickly – Level 1 Support;
- Implement application upgrades and installations;
- Follow problem tracking and reporting procedures;
- Audio Visual Boardroom Setups;
- New computer installations and setups;
- Other related duties as required and directed.

We are currently looking for an individual who has the following qualifications:
General:
- Customer service oriented;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Solid organization skills with the ability to work well under pressure;
- Adaptable, dependable and open to change;
- Detail oriented, and accurate;
- Ability to work well with others in a team based environment;
- Must have good communication and organizational skills.
Necessary Skills:
- Desktop maintenance and upgrade;
- Hardware/Software troubleshooting & diagnostic skills.
Core OS and Applications:
- Windows Server;
- Windows 10;
- Domain Administration;
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Assets:
- ECM or Document Management Solutions – Implementation and Maintenance;
- Database maintenance and report-writing experience;
- Router/Switch experience;
- Vendor Certifications;
- Experience in legal field; i.e. working with custom financial/billing applications or docketing;
- User training experience;
- Antivirus – Enterprise Environment;
- Scripting;
- Content Filters and Anti Spam Technologies;
- Backup experience;
- Experience with TCP/IP, Network and WAN communications;
- User support/helpdesk experience.
