Rui Martins is an emergency response specialist.  Rui started his career in 1988 protecting the CN Tower in Toronto Canada. During his tenure he was responsible for the safety and security of all staff and visitors to the facility.  Some of his accomplishments while at the CN Tower included the implementation of the first public use of walk through bomb detectors and the execution of high profile events such as the NATO minister’s reception during the Kosovo operation. He was responsible for the training of all staff in regards to Life Safety and Corporate Resilience, including a seasonal staff of about 300 who would join the CN Tower for the summer every year.   Since 2004 Rui has used his skills to develop and train fortunate 500 companies on how to deal with emergencies such as the terrorist attacks of September 11^th.  Rui has been engaged by Goodmans LLP, Miller Thompson LLP, BLG LLP, Torys LLP, Osler LLP, Fraser Milner LLP, Gowlings LLP, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Ogilvy Renault LLP, Scotiabank, BMO and number of other corporations.

Rui has been asked to speak at the University of Toronto and to The Law Office Management Association on the subject of Emergency Preparedness. Rui has donated his time to youth at risk programs in York Region through Pathways.
