Melissa is a Director with BDO’s Toronto office tax team, and has spent her 19 year career providing tax compliance, planning and advisory services both in public practice with BDO and with financial institutions supporting wealth advisors and their clients.  Her focus is on tax planning strategies for business owners, professionals and other affluent individuals and families and has worked across numerous sectors including professional services, real estate, hospitality, and owner managed businesses.   

Melissa is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants Association of Ontario (CPA) and the Canadian Tax Foundation. In addition, she has completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course, as well as the In-Depth Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business course and In-Depth Corporate Reorganizations.
