As Chief Operating Officer at Barriston Law for the past 4 ½ years, Doug is directly responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the law firm’s HR, operational policies, objectives and initiatives. Doug also provides general manager oversight and day-to-day direction to managers and senior staff regarding finance, human resources and information technology.

Prior to entering the Legal Sector in 2017, Doug had been involved in the Automotive Aftermarket for over 34 years as a General Manager of a regional Automotive Franchise Organization as well as an owner operator of several franchise locations in Toronto and Barrie.

With a cumulative 40+ years of general management   experience in business, Doug has had the opportunity of being immersed in HR related matters at all levels.

Doug has been a TLOMA member since 2017 and is currently the immediate past chair of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation Board and a Past President and active member of the Barrie Huronia Rotary Club.
