David Swadden is the CEO and co-founder of Tracument, software designed to help Canadian law firms operate more efficiently, reduce administrative costs, and make better use of their teams’ time. Drawing on his experience working in and running a law firm, David co-founded Tracument in 2013 to automate the repetitive, time-consuming work involved in sending, receiving, and requesting documents.

Today, Tracument serves more than 1,900 clients across Canada and has facilitated over 6.5 million documents, saving an estimated 34,000+ person-days of staff work.

David is passionate about using technology to eliminate repetitive, administrative work so legal professionals can spend more time on the work that matters most to their clients. His approach to innovation is grounded in a simple idea: the best technology doesn’t just add another tool to the workflow, it makes the workflow itself better.
