Best Practices in Conducting Effective Terminations
Description
| Telling an employee they no longer have a job, is one of the most stressful tasks a manager will experience. While under stress, people make mistakes. Add inadequate preparation and ill advised practices to the mix and termination meetings often become extreme examples of poor communication. In this interactive session :
- We provide excellent examples of how not to handle termination communications;
- We offer suggestions on how to conduct them effectively;
- Share your experiences and increase your understanding of how best practices can help people leave with dignity and respect;
- Minimizing the impact on productivity by employees remaining with the organization.
