Unconscious bias is a hot topic amongst diversity and inclusion professionals and is increasingly becoming a staple in all organizational educational programs. And it’s no surprise why--even the most progressive amongst us have unconscious biases.
In this microlearning session, we will take you through a few of the most common types of unconscious bias, and provide a mix of research based and anecdotal examples of how biases show up in the workplace. We would be pretty bias ourselves if we didn’t also share some of the drawbacks of unconscious bias training.
We’ll review what the critics have to say, and offer practical solutions for how you can effectively combat unconscious bias.
