In today’s office, with the flexibility of work relationships and hybrid work environments, motivating people at work isn’t as simple as it was even three years ago.
New approaches are needed, and humour is one of them.
Laughter is essential for a healthy and productive workplace. No matter what industry you’re in, using humor as a strategy at the beginning, middle and end of the day will improve morale, increase efficiency and help you create lifelong relationships for success. In other words, laughter is a powerful force to help you and your team stay motivated personally and professionally.
Humor at work is about levity: the shared moments of lightness that propel relationships forward and balance the seriousness of labour. It’s done by observing the funny stuff that is around you and relating it to your staff and co-workers, developing a humour insight.
Rachelle Elie and Rick Curie show you how observing funny stuff around you can reposition challenges and problems, taking them from a disadvantage and transforming them to an advantage point. That is a major key toward motivation.
