A Certified Records Manager (CRM), Information Governance Professional (IGP), and Certified Information Professional (CIP) with more than 25 years’ information management (IM) experience, Sheila has assisted numerous public, private and not-for-profit clients to improve their IM practices. Prior to becoming a consultant, Sheila established and managed an IM Program at a mid-sized Ontario municipality.
Sheila is an instructor in AIIM’s Electronic Records Management (ERM) and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) certificate programs. For more than fifteen years, she taught several of the certificate courses in records/information management at The iSchool Institute of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Information. Sheila has also taught the ‘Managing Organizational Records I’ course in the Master of Information degree program at the iSchool (Faculty of Information), University of Toronto and the records and information management fundamentals course at Mohawk College.
Sheila speaks regularly on various IM topics at ARMA and other conferences, and her IM articles have been published in such periodicals as Canadian Facility Management and Design, Information Management Journal, and Municipal World. An active member of ARMA, Sheila is also a member of AIIM and the Institute of Certified Records Managers.
Sheila completed a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree and certificates in both records management and adult education. She also holds the AIIM Electronic Records Management Master designation (ermm) and the AIIM Enterprise Content Management Master designation (ecmm).
Sheila’s primary responsibilities at Ergo include the delivery of IM consulting services, managing the delivery of IM consulting services by Ergo associates, and associate recruiting.
